Antony Veder installs WAPS onboard gas carrier

The Dutch shipping firm has retrofitted its gas carrier with a wind-assisted propulsion system (WAPS).

The vessel, Coral Patula, is the first of two vessels to be retrofitted with a pair of rigid sails provided by the maritime wind port firm, Econowind. 

Later in the year, another gas carrier from Antony Veder’s fleet, the Coral Pearl, will be retrofitted with two of Econowind's rigid sails.
