ARA fuel oil stocks up 3% in December so far

The ARA’s independently held fuel oil stocks have increased 3% in December to date, according to Insights Global data.

Changes in monthly average ARA stocks from November to December (so far):

• Fuel oil stocks up 180,000 bbls to 6.92 million bbls
• Gasoil stocks down 1.4 million bbls to 14.85 million bbls

The region’s independent gasoil inventories - which include diesel and heating oil - have fallen by 9% so far this month, according to the Insights Global data.

Bunker availability in the ARA hub remains tight for prompt deliveries, with buyers advised to book 5-7 days in advance to secure coverage from a wider selection of suppliers, a trader told ENGINE.
