Avance Gas takes delivery of fourth dual-fuel VLGC

Norwegian gas company Avance Gas has taken delivery of the fourth in a series of six dual-fuel Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC) being built by South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean.

The 91,000-cbm VLGC, Avance Avior, can run on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or conventional marine fuels.

Prior to this, the company took delivery of Avance Rigel – the third in the series – in the first quarter of this year.

Avance Gas expects delivery of the remaining two dual-fuel VLGC newbuilds by 2024.
