Avenir LNG completes first ship-to-ship LNG bunkering in Klaipėda

Bunker supplier Avenir LNG has delivered an unspecified quantity of LNG to TT Line’s dual fuel ferry in the Lithuanian port of Klaipėda.

The fuel was supplied to the dual fuel RoPax ferry Peter Pan by LNG bunker vessel, Avenir Ascension.

TT Line has a long-term LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) supply agreement with Avenir.

So far deliveries have been completed in Sweden and Germany, Avenir said, adding that expanding the agreement to Klaipėda will underpin “security of supply for alternative marine fuels in the Baltic region.”
