The stem was delivered to the Princess Cruises-owned ship, Sun Princess, using Axpo’s LNG bunker tanker, Green Zeebrugge.

The bunkering was conducted through simultaneous operations (SIMOPs), Daniele Corti, head of small-scale LNG at Axpo said.

In this process, ships receive bunker fuel while simultaneously unloading cargo. This method typically allows ships to reduce docking time in port.

Axpo currently offers LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) deliveries across the wider Iberian Peninsula, including ports in Spain and Italy.
