BGN launches physical bunker operations on US Gulf Coast

Energy and commodities trading group BGN has launched its first US-based bunker operations, and will supply HSFO, VLSFO and LSMGO to vessels calling at ports across the US Gulf Coast.

BGN will charter the two bunker barges Jackson Eades and MGI 2100 from Houston-based Centerline Logistics.

BGN will initially supply its owned and chartered LPG fleet of around 40 vessels. It will also offer bunker fuel to third-party shipowners across the region, said Harry Thwaites, the company's head of fuel oil, feedstocks and marine fuels .
