B30-VLSFO prices fall in Rotterdam and Antwerp
Rotterdam’s bio-bunker sales fall 14% in 2025
Rio Grande’s B30-VLSFO trading at $86/mt premium over Rotterdam

Rotterdam’s B30-VLSFO (POMEME) price has declined by $14/mt over the last week, while neighbouring Antwerp’s B30-VLSFO (UCOME) price has seen a steeper $34/mt fall.
Prima Markets’ assessed ARA POMEME and UCOME barge prices have dropped by $49/mt each during the same period, which have possibly weighed on the benchmarks.
Conventional VLSFO prices have climbed $4/mt and $2/mt higher in Rotterdam and Antwerp, respectively.
Bunkering B30-VLSFO in Antwerp now costs $90/mt more than in Rotterdam, compared to $110/mt premium seen last week.
Separately, according to data from Rotterdam Port Authority, bio-bunker sales at the Dutch port fell 14% in 2025, compared to 2024.
Bio-VLSFO remained the dominant grade sold during the year, while bio-MGO sales doubled compared to the previous year.
Gibraltar’s B30-VLSFO has fallen $21/mt in the last week. The port is still experiencing weather-related disruptions, and ships calling at the port for bunkers are facing long queues, port agent MH Bland said.
South America
The price of B30-VLSFO in Rio-Grande fell $54/mt since last week, while the price of conventional VLSFO slumped $21/mt during the period.
The blend’s premium over conventional VLSFO has narrowed by $33/mt during the week to $261/mt.
Rio Grande’s B30-VLSFO price now holds an $86/mt premium over Rotterdam, narrowing sharply from a $126/mt premium seen last week.
Singapore and Fujairah
Singapore’s B30-VLSFO price has dropped $9/mt during the last week. The port’s conventional VLSFO price has dropped $6/mt.
Prima Markets’ China UCOME cargo price - a proxy for Singapore's UCOME import costs - has remained unchanged over the week.
Fujairah’s B30-VLSFO price has dropped $11/mt during the last week. It continues to trade at $18/mt higher over Singapore’s B30-VLSFO price.
