The container ship, Iris Leader, was bunkered with 470 mt of a B24 biofuel blend at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand’s Chonburi province. The blend, produced at Bangchak Sriracha Refinery, consisted of 24% UCOME (Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester)-based biofuel and 76% VLSFO.
The operation marked the first biofuel delivery in Thailand, the company claims.
However, no further details, including the delivery method, have been disclosed.
