Bunker calls at Gibraltar decrease in July
Around 464 ships called at the Port of Gibraltar for bunkers in July, a 16% drop from the previous month’s 553 calls, data from Gibraltar Port Authority shows.

This was still a 4% increase compared to the same month last year, when 447 vessels bunkered at Gibraltar.
Despite July’s drop, Gibraltar has seen strong bunker demand this year, with a total of 3,333 vessels visiting the port. This was a 11% increase from the same period last year, when 2,995 ships were bunkered.
Cruise vessels calling in Gibraltar can increase demand for bunkers at the port. A total of 127 cruise ships have visited Gibraltar so far this year, compared to 110 cruise ships visiting in the same period last year.
