In Gibraltar, inbound traffic has been suspended due to strong winds. As a result, 22 vessels are waiting for bunkers in the port, according to MH Bland. Strong winds gusts of around 30 knots have been forecast for today.
Strong easterly winds have also severely affected bunkering operations in Ceuta. All bunkering operations at the port's anchorage have been suspended. However, bunkering continues through ex-pipe supply by the two suppliers at the port. Strong wind gusts of 33 knots are forecast to hit Ceuta today, which could keep bunkering disrupted there.
In Algeciras, bunker operations are allowed at the Inner anchorage, but there is strong congestion for bunkers. Operations at the Delta anchorage and the Outer Port Limits have been suspended.
