Burando Energies to deliver bio-blends, methanol in Zeebrugge

Bunker supplier Burando Energies (Burando) has expanded into Zeebrugge with the addition of a new estuary bunker barge to its fleet under a time charter agreement.

The 4,050 cbm-capacity barge, MTS ODYSSEE, will primarily deliver biofuels in the Port of Zeebrugge and across wider North-West Europe, Burando said.

The firm currently offers biofuel blends in the ARA region, ranging from 7% biofuel (B7) blended with VLSFO, LSMGO and HSFO to 100% pure biofuel (B100), according to its website.

The company added that the barge is “fully equipped” to supply methanol and has already received multiple enquiries for methanol bunkering in the region.
