The terminal has been used to store waste oil, and will be repurposed to store bio-components like fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) and hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), along with gasoil and diesel. The facility has eight storage tanks, with capacities ranging from 1,500-10,000 cbm, it said.
The facility is named “Amsterdam bioFuel Terminal" and could benefit the ARA-based bunker supplier Trefoil, which is a subsidiary of the Burando Group.
