The B30 blend comprises 30% bio-component mixed with conventional marine fuel.
The stem was delivered via a CPN-operated conventional bunker tanker.
This “milestone” follows the IMO's recent approval of a draft amendment that raised the permissible biofuel blend limit in bunker carriers from 25% to 30%, the company said.
This was also OOCL’s first B30 bunkering operation in Hong Kong, CPN added.
