China Shipping & Sinopec Suppliers completes ammonia bunkering in China
Bunker supplier China Shipping & Sinopec Suppliers recently bunkered an ammonia-powered tugboat with ammonia in China.

The tugboat Yuantuo 1 was bunkered with an unspecified amount of ammonia, marking the first ammonia bunkering operation in China.
The company has not disclosed further details about the bunkering operation.
“The successful bunkering has effectively tested the integrity and efficiency of the company’s bunkering equipment system, gathered valuable knowledge and experience for the deployment of ammonia fuel in large vessels,” COSCO Shipping stated.
The operation was conducted by China Shipping & Sinopec Suppliers, a joint venture between petroleum company China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) and shipping firm COSCO Shipping.
