CMA CGM launches fourth LNG-capable container ship

French shipping company CMA CGM has launched the fourth of six LNG-capable vessels currently under construction in South Korea.

The 8,000 TEU container ship CMA CGM Palmyre is powered by a dual-fuel engine capable of running on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

It will join its sister ships — CMA CGM Byblos, CMA CGM Petra, and CMA CGM Baalbeck — in the CMA CGM fleet.

The vessel is set to operate on the Asia–US East Coast route.

However, the company has not disclosed the name of the shipbuilder.
