The 24,212 TEU newbuilds will be registered under the French flag and primarily call at two major French ports – Le Havre and Dunkirk, CMA CGM said.
Deliveries are set to begin in 2026, with all ten vessels earmarked for deployment on the company’s flagship Northern Europe-Asia route, it said. The shipping firm has not disclosed the contracted shipyard for this project.
Compatriot naval engineering company Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has supplied LNG tanks for the ten vessels, while Classification Society Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) has approved the vessel designs, CMA CGM added.
