CNOOC takes delivery of LNG bunkering vessel in China

CNOOC Yangjiang Enterprise (CNOOC), a subsidiary of Chinese oil company CNOOC Energy Technology & Services, has taken delivery of an LNG carrier and bunkering vessel.

The 12,000-cbm capacity LNG carrier and bunkering vessel, Hai Yang Shi You 302, has been built by China-based Nantong CIMC SinoPacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE), a unit of CIMC Enric Holdings.  

It will be able to provide year-round coverage across all river and sea regions, CIMC Enric Holdings claims.

“The vessel will provide flexible refuelling services for LNG vessels in China’s rivers and seas", helping them to accelerate the switch from "oil to gas" in China, it adds.
