Cruise ship bunkered with LBM in Barcelona

A TUI Cruises-operated dual-fuel cruise ship has received 2,000 cbm (894 mt) of liquefied biomethane (LBM) during a bunkering operation at the Port of Barcelona.

The LBM was supplied by Shell, TUI Cruises said.

The ship-to-ship bunkering of Mein Schiff Relax cruise ship was conducted via the barge Haugesund Knutsen, owned by Knutsen Scale Gas and chartered by Shell.

This marked the vessel's second ship-to-ship LBM bunkering operation in Barcelona, following the first one in August.
