The Disney Destiny follows deliveries of two sister ships from the same class – Disney Wish and Disney Treasure – in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

German shipbuilder Meyer Werft built the vessel at its shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, Disney said.

LNG has been gaining popularity among shipowners. The global LNG-capable fleet is currently made up of 770 vessels, with another 107 expected to join this year, data from class society DNV shows.
