DNV approves multiple Hudong-Zhounghua vessel concepts

Four vessel concepts by Chinese shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua have received approval in principle certificates from classification society DNV.

The vessel concepts include a 150,000 cbm ultra large ethane carrier (ULEC), a 40,000 cbm liquefied CO2 (LCO2) carrier, and a 20,000 cbm LNG bunker vessel.

Another concept comprises an 88,000 cbm very large ammonia carrier (VLAC), which is being jointly developed by DNV and Hudong-Zhonghua.
