Edison bunkers CMA CGM boxship with LNG in Trieste

Edison said it has carried out the first ship-to-ship LNG bunker operation of a container vessel in Italy.

The LNG stem was delivered to CMA CGM's LNG dual-fuel boxship Salamanque in the Adriatic Sea port of Trieste. The Salamanque sails in the Mediterranean.

The used its 30,000 cbm-capacity LNG carrier Ravenna Knutsen to supply the LNG. The carrier has been in Edison’s service since 2021.

In 2024, Edison carried out the first LNG bunker operation of a cruise ship in the Adriatic Sea.
