The 17,000-dwt bitumen tankers will be able to run on methanol and conventional marine fuels and will be ready to be retrofitted for future operation on ammonia.
Bitumen tankers carry asphalt at high temperatures of around 250 degrees Celsius.
The tankers will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2026, Euronav said.
Both vessels have already been chartered for ten years upon delivery from the shipyard. Meanwhile, the charterer has not been identified.
