The Sun Princess will be powered by both LNG and MGO – with LNG as the primary fuel.

It is the first of two LNG-powered cruise ships in Carnival-owned Princess Cruises’ fleet. It will be delivered to Princess Cruise in the first quarter of 2024, while its sister-ship will be delivered in 2025.

It is also the “largest ship built so far in Italy,” claims Fincantieri.

Each of the two cruise ships will have capacity to accommodate over 4,000 guests, says Princess Cruises.
