France LNG Shipping takes delivery of LNG dual-fuel LNG carrier

French shipowner France LNG Shipping has taken delivery of a new 174,000 cbm LNG carrier, Elisa Halcyon, built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea.

The vessel features dual-fuel engine, allowing it to operate on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

It will be chartered for up to 20 years by EDF LNG Shipping, a subsidiary of French energy group EDF, for LNG transportation, with Gazocean handling ship management.

France LNG Shipping is a joint venture between NYK Line and Geogas LNG.
