The dual-fuel bunker vessel, Paolina Cosulich, will have capacity to carry 8,200 cbm of LNG and 500 cbm of MGO.

Various financial institutions, including Crédit Agricole, BPM, UNICREDIT, Cassa Depositi e Prestit and SACE, have supported this project.

The project has also received €4 million (around $4.37 million) from the Connecting Europe Facility – an EU funding programme for developing infrastructure across the union – as it will contribute to “decarbonisation of maritime transport through the implementation of LNG bunkering solutions in the Mediterranean Sea.”

The vessel is scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of 2024.

In March, the company launched its first LNG bunker vessel, Alice Cosulich.

The global LNG bunker delivery vessel fleet is currently made up of 43 vessels, with another 10-13 expected to join this year, DNV data shows.
