Fujairah bunker sales dipped by 1% in June
Lower HSFO sales contributed to drag down Fujairah’s total bunker sales by 1% in June, according to data compiled by Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Changes in Fujairah bunker fuel sales from May to June:
- Total sales down by 1% to 601,000 mt
- VLSFO sales up by 1% to 425,000 mt
- HSFO sales down by 9% to 149,000 mt
- LSMGO sales up by 11% to 26,000 mt
Sales of HSFO dropped by 14,000 mt to 149,000 mt - the lowest since June last year. Around 4,900 mt/day of HSFO was sold in June, which is about 300 mt/day less than the 5,200 mt/day sold in May.
On the other hand, sales of the most sought-after product, VLSFO, rose by 6,000 mt to 425,000 mt in June.
During the same period, sales of LSMGO increased by 2,500 mt to 26,000 mt.
The port’s total bunker sales in the first six months of the year were 8% higher compared to the same period last year.

Fuel grade share of total sales in June (compared to the year to date):
- 71% VLSFO 380cst (67% YTD)
- 0.18% VLSFO 180cst (0.12% YTD)
- 25% HSFO (28% YTD)
- 4% LSMGO (4% YTD)
- 0.03% MGO 0.50% (0.03% YTD)
