Fujairah bunker sales grew by 4% in October
Increased sales of VLSFO and LSMGO contributed to push Fujairah’s total bunker sales higher in October than in September, according to data compiled by Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Changes in Fujairah bunker fuel sales from September to October:
- Total sales up by 4% to 642,000 mt
- VLSFO sales up by 6% to 446,000 mt
- HSFO sales down by 5% to 163,000 mt
- LSMGO sales up by 35% to 32,000 mt
LSMGO sales surged by 8,000 mt to 32,000 mt in October, and were at their highest level since January 2021. Around 1,031 mt/day of LSMGO was sold in October, sharply up from 789 mt/day sold in September. In the same time period, sales of the most sought-after product, VLSFO, sales rose by 24,000 mt to 446,000 mt in October.
HSFO declined by 9,000 mt to 163,000 mt in October, marking the second consecutive month of decline.
The port’s total bunker sales for the first ten months of the month were 8% lower compared to the same period last year.

- 0.12% VLSFO 180cst (0.07% YTD)
- 25% HSFO (24% YTD)
- 5% LSMGO (4% YTD)
- 0.22% 0.50% MGO (0.15% YTD)
