Gale warning to trigger Bolivar Roads bunker suspension today
The National Weather Service (NWS) has forecast showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts above 40 knots, with isolated gusts nearing 50 knots.

The US Coast Guard will suspend all transits for piloted vessels bound for the Bolivar Roads anchorage and halt all bunker operations at the anchorage from 18.00 local time today due to worsening weather conditions.
Galveston Bay faced wind gusts of up to 25 knots earlier today, and waves of around 2.5 feet, a ship agency said.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has forecast gusts of up to 45 knots and issued a gale warning from 22.00 local time yesterday.
The US Coast Guard has advised vessels and facility operators in the area to take precautionary measures against gale-force winds. It recommends that vessels secure loose gear, use assist tugs for manoeuvring and docking and be ready to respond to anchor dragging.
