The 174,000-cbm capacity LNG carrier, GasLog Italy, can run on both LNG and conventional marine fuels.

It will also feature an air-lubrication system, which uses air from air release units (ARUs) in the hull to generate air bubbles that run continuously beneath the ship’s surface, forming a coat of air that reduces friction and improves fuel efficiency.

GasLog has not disclosed where the vessel will be deployed.

The remaining three vessels are scheduled to be delivered between 2024 and 2025.
