Gasum locks in Klaipeda LNG terminal capacity
The company will supply LNG and liquefied biomethane (LBM) from Klaipeda to customers across northwestern Europe, it says.

Gasum has signed a long-term capacity agreement at the Klaipeda LNG terminal in Lithuania covering the period 2033-2040.
The terminal currently serves as a reloading point for Gasum's gas carriers and bunker vessels and supports the company's natural gas operations in Finland and the Baltic states.
Biomethane can be liquefied virtually into LBM and be mass balanced to meet customer requirements. Gasum says this route is increasingly relevant as shipowners seek to reduce lifecycle emissions beyond what conventional LNG provides.
Gasum says it will use the LNG and LBM to bunker vessels around the Danish straits.
The company said the deal supports Gasum's supply chain ahead of anticipated growth in LNG-capable vessels, driven by IMO and EU greenhouse gas reduction targets and demand for lower-emission fuel options.
