Gibraltar bunker calls fell by 5% in September
The port of Gibraltar recorded 387 bunker calls in September, registering a 5% decline from a year ago, Gibraltar Port Authority (GPA) figures show.

Gibraltar’s bunker calls in September were the lowest since April this year. The number of ships calling to bunker in September dipped 14% from the preceding month when 451 ships were recorded, GPA data reveals.
The port received 3,804 bunker calls in the first nine months of this year, up 8% from 3,513 ships from the same period last year.
Bunker fuel demand usually increases with cruise traffic, which peaks during the summer months from April to September.In September, around 24 cruise ships arrived in Gibraltar, up from 14 in August and more than 20 in September 2023.
A total of 106 cruise ships called at Gibraltar during the first nine months of this year, a slight drop from 109 in the same period a year ago.
The port authority does not publish data on bunker sales volumes.
