Adverse weather conditions may cause backlog congestion, with deliveries being managed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Additionally, bunker barge readiness is expected to be impacted, leading to potential delays in fuel transfers and cargo movements.
The disruption could last until 30 March.
GOLA is located in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Galveston, Texas. It is a designated offshore zone for lightering operations where large crude oil tankers transfer cargo to smaller vessels.
