GoodFuels delivers HVO100 in the Netherlands

Dutch biofuel supplier GoodFuels delivered an undisclosed amount of HVO100 to a barge at Bunkerstation Papendrecht in the Netherlands.

The stem was delivered to tanker operator Stolt Tankers’ barge, Stolt Main.

HVO100, or pure hydrotreated vegetable oil, is made from processed vegetable oils or animal fats that reduce carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and sulfur emissions compared to traditional marine diesel, according to Stolt Tankers.

For more than three years, the Stolt Main, along with several other vessels in the Stolt Tankers fleet, has been effectively running on HVO20, a blend containing 80% traditional marine fuel and 20% HVO.
