The vessel, Ecomar Gascogne, is capable of running on both methanol and conventional marine fuels. The remaining three vessels will be delivered between 2025 and 2026. All four vessels will be chartered to French energy company TotalEnergies for a multi-year period.

Hafnia, a subsidiary of the BW Group, and French shipowner Socatra jointly ordered the vessels from GSI in August 2023.
