The Hafnia Lillesand is a 110,000-dwt LNG-dual fuel crude oil and product tanker, the tanker operator said. It is the final vessel in a series of four LNG-powered vessels ordered by Hafnia.

The vessel was built by China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI), Hafnia said.

The first two of the four tankers were delivered in 2023 and are time chartered to French oil major TotalEnergies. The third and fourth vessels will be time chartered to Norway’s oil giant Equinor.

Hafnia and French shipowner Socatra, have also collaborated with GSI to order four 49,800-dwt dual-fuel tankers that can run on methanol.

Three of the four dual-fuel methanol-powered tankers will be delivered by 2025, and the fourth vessel will be delivered in 2026. The vessels are currently under construction at GSI Shipyard, in China.
