Hartree Marine launches physical bunker supply in Norfolk

US-based bunker supplier Hartree Marine will supply VLSFO and MGO in the Port of Norfolk, Virginia along the US East Coast.

It will also provide physical bunkering at all terminals and anchorages in the ports of Newport News, Yorktown, Hampton Roads, Chesapeake and Portsmouth, the company said in a social media statement.

Deliveries will be carried out via two dedicated bunker barges in the region, it added.

It will also supply ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD) by truck “to all accessible docks and berths in the area,” Hartree Marine noted.

The company already supplies VLSFO and LSMGO by barge at several East Coast ports, including New York and New Jersey, Baltimore and Philadelphia, according to its website

The company also recently started physical bunker supply across US Gulf Coast.
