HMM to charter two more LNG-powered ships

The South Korean container line will start operating these LNG-fuelled ships from January 2025.

HMM entered into a charter agreement with Greek shipowner Navios to operate the ships for a 14-year period. Navios ordered the vessels from the Busan-based shipyard HJ Heavy Industries.

The vessels HMM Ocean and HMM Sky will begin operations on HMM's service connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Far East Asia starting in January next year. The ships will operate on routes connecting South Korea-China-India with the Mediterranean region.
