IINO Lines orders a methanol dual-fuel tanker

Japanese shipping firm IINO Kaiun Kaisha (IINO Lines) has ordered a methanol dual-fuel crude oil tanker.

The crude oil tanker will be able to run on methanol and conventional marine fuels.
It will be built by Nihon Shipyard (NSY) in Japan and is expected to be delivered in 2027.
The vessel has been designed by a consortium including tanker operator Idemitsu Tanker, shipping company Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line), NSY and IINO Lines.
Upon delivery, the vessel will be chartered to Idemitsu Tanker.
