Under the agreement, Royal Wagenborg will provide a new CO2 carrier to Project Greensand, an INEOS-led initiative focused on capturing and storing CO2 beneath the North Sea to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

INEOS states that the CO2 carrier is a crucial part of establishing a complete CO2 capture, transport, and storage value chain, enabling large-scale CO2 transport to the Greensand storage site in the Danish North Sea.
