The 210,000-dwt vessel was constructed at the Tsu shipyard by Japan Marine United.
The vessel features an LNG dual-fuel engine from WinGD. Additionally, K Line plans to equip the ship with “Seawing”, an automated kite system, that harnesses wind power to improve fuel efficiency.
The bulk carrier will transport steel raw materials for JFE Steel Corporation under a long-term charter contract.
