The gas carrier, Aquamarine Progress II, was delivered to Aramo Shipping, a subsidiary of MOL Group. The dual-fuel vessel build by Japan's Namura Shipbuilding has been chartered to Japanese energy firm GYXIS Corporation.

Aquamarine Progress II can run on LPG and conventional marine fuels. The carrier will transport ammonia and LPG.

Ships burning LPG can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 17% on a well-to-wake basis, compared to conventional marine fuels, according to classification society DNV.
