A ship's drivetrain is the system that transfers power from the engine to the propeller, enabling propulsion.
The partnership aims to develop scalable, low-emission power technology for maritime applications by combining EH Group's fuel cell expertise with NIM's proficiency in marine system integration.
The duo will focus on adapting and standardising hydrogen fuel cell systems to meet the operational and safety standards of maritime vessels, paving the way for technology that can be widely deployed.
“Partnering with NIM allows us to more effectively roll out marine fuel cell systems across a wide range of vessels,” EH Group founder Mardit Matian said.
