Norwegian energy company Barents Naturgass supplied the first stem of 200 cbm (89 mt) at the Port of Hammerfest on 26 November.
A second stem of 350 cbm (157 mt) was delivered by Molgas on 30 November during the vessel’s next round-trip.
“Preliminary calculations show that Havila Polaris will reduce its actual CO2 emissions by almost 92% through the use of biogas and the ship’s battery packs,” the company projected.
