Norwegian startup orders hydrogen vessels

Norwegian shipping startup Green Maritime Infrastructure (GMI) has ordered two hydrogen-powered cargo vessels from India’s Chowgule Shipyard.

The 3,000-dwt vessels will be equipped with hydrogen fuel cells to run on pure hydrogen without the use of pilot fuel.

The companies have not mentioned a delivery timeline for the project.
