The fuel, comprising 24% biofuel and 76% conventional marine fuel (B24), will be bunkered at Hakata Port. The stem will be physically supplied by Japanese bunker supplier Itochu Enex.
Itochu Enex offers physical deliveries across the Hokkaido, Hanshin, Tokyo Bay, Seto Inland Sea, Chukyo and Kyushu regions, according to its website,
This trial is expected to mark the first use of biofuel by a domestic scheduled RoRo vessel bunkering and operating from Hakata Port, Kinkai Yusen said.
