Omani bunker supplier O Bunkering signed the agreement with Omani refiner OQ Refineries and Petroleum Industries (OQRPI) on 4 November. The annual volume equals 48 million litres, and it covers LSMGO, O Bunkering’s sales specialist Manal Al Mamari told ENGINE.
O Bunkering said buying straight from the refiner widens its sourcing options and secures supply for shipowners, charterers and other operators in Oman.
The deal comes after Oman changed its bunkering rules in September 2025, requiring at least two licensed companies to take part in every ship bunkering operation.
Omani ports are currently seeing steady activity, and LSMGO can generally be arranged within 2-3 days at Salalah, Sohar, Duqm and Muscat.
