The cyclone, which began forming on Friday, is now located west of Exmouth and is tracking southwest. The system has moved far enough to no longer impact the Pilbara or offshore waters, according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
As a result, the ports of Hedland, Dampier, Cape Preston West, Ashburton and Varanus Island have resumed operations, the Pilbara Ports Authority said.
However, bunker supply at Dampier is still dependent on weather conditions, according to a source.
