Pavilion Energy’s LNG bunker vessel conducts another STS operation in Singapore

Singaporean energy company Pavilion Energy’s bunker vessel has completed its second ship-to-ship (STS) LNG bunker operation in Singapore.

Pavilion Energy’s bunker vessel, Brassavola, recently delivered an undisclosed amount of LNG to German container line Hapag-Lloyd’s container ship, Brussels Express.

The refuelling operation was carried out at the Eastern Bunkering A Anchorage in Singapore. The vessel was on its way to Rotterdam and Wilhelmshaven.

This operation closely follows Brassavola’s maiden STS LNG operation in Singapore.

LNG sales rising in Singapore

Singapore has been seeing an uptick in LNG bunker sales. Singapore’s LNG sales rose by 12% in January, according to preliminary figures from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Around 335 mt/day of LNG was sold in January, up from 300 mt/day in December.
