China Marine Bunker (PetroChina), also known as Chimbusco, is partly owned by Chinese oil and gas company PetroChina.
The fuel was supplied to COSCO Shipping’s 16,136-TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship, COSCO Shipping Carnation, at the Shenzhen Yantian International Container Terminal, in partnership with Shenzhen Port Group.
The operation represents the first green methanol bunkering carried out at the port and in South China, Chimbusco stated.
In July, Chimbusco delivered 500 mt of ISCC-certified green methanol to another COSCO methanol dual-fuel vessel, the COSCO Shipping Yangpu, in Dalian.
