Ports of Stockholm to build carbon capture infrastructure at Norvik terminal

The ports group will evaluate whether carbon dioxide (CO2) capture, storage and transportation infrastructure can be built in the Norvik deep-sea port.

Ports of Stockholm chair Clara Lindblom says the proposed infrastructure could become the largest of its kind in Sweden and handle approximately 9 million mt/year of CO2 transported from other places in the country.
“Stockholm Norvik Port has large potential to become a carbon dioxide hub," Lindblom says.
